One of the things that are most surprising is that McCain and his campaign staff haven’t been able to dream up anything to put out there that distinguishes him from President Bush.

However you define leadership, Barack Obama has an overabundance of it and has done something unprecedented with his ability, no pun intended.

I don’t believe people like me should be censored or pressured to self censor at any time when they are discussing what they/we believe is the truth about powerful figures. When you get to that level of prominence and impact, you give up the right to that sort of genteelness. It is much too important that we have honest discussions about what powerful people are doing and have done.

When I think of the life of Tim Russert I will think of a man who could have done so much good with the power that was given to him and instead used it to help those who had some of the worst motives and intentions on the American political scene.

It's always a hard thing to watch someone deny who they are and what they believe. With the amount of television coverage that McCain will get as we head to the general election campaign, this is going to be continually painful.

John McCain was against negotiating with other countries to reduce or eliminate their nuclear programs before he was for it.

One person who did not have Florida on her itinerary was Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton and John McCain have fed the media a diet of scandal and innuendo and kept feeding it to the point where it has become a monster that will consume them both.

We need a new kind of politician and President, one that embraces honesty and change. If you are reading this and saying that the American people will never be able to get someone like that for their President, I have a simple answer, "Yes We Can".

History will record May 6, 2008 as the day when Senator Barack Obama sealed the Democratic nomination for President.

When the Superdelegates decide whom they are going to support, if electability factors into their decision at all, they should consider the constituencies and who can unite those constituencies and the party.

Slurs against any minority group do not belong in mainstream American politics or anywhere near the campaigns of potential Presidential nominees.

Campaigns run on money. Staff has to be paid, venues rented, ads bought, transportation gassed and ticketed. Most candidates for their party’s nomination don’t drop out as a direct consequence of losing one too many contests, they drop out because after they start losing, their campaign contributions drop off and they run out of money.

We leave Fear mongering, cynical appeals and regressivism to the Republicans, or at least I thought we did until Hillary came along.

Hillary's problems are multiplying. It isnt just that she is behind by numbers that make it mathematically close to impossible to win, she is turning off large groups of voters and her negatives and unfavorable ratings are skyrocketing.
